Juvederm / Belotero Treatment
Juvederm or Belotero injections are a very effective treatment to reduce lines and wrinkles on the forehead and face. They are our most popular treatment at Summer Court Dental Practice.
All our Juvederm or Belotero injections are given by our experienced Dr. Streltsov, who can if needed tailor the strength of the treatments to your individual needs so you can retain some expression of the facial muscles, giving a more natural and subtle look with so called “Mini Juvederm”, or “Mini Belotero”.
The treatment itself takes around 15-30 minutes minutes to complete and after the treatment you can drive or head back to work immediately, no recovery period is needed. It is an extremely safe procedure.
We offer a free follow up with Dr. Streltsov one week after every Juvederm or Belotero treatment to ensure that the treatment meets your expectations. If necessary a free touch up of the Juvederm or Belotero treatment can be given at this appointment.

Frown lines with Juvederm
Frown lines can be seen as vertical lines in between the eyebrows and are common in people who frown a lot or have been overexposed to the sun. To treat these lines, small injections are given in between the brow.
Forehead Wrinkles with Juvederm
Forehead wrinkles appear as horizontal lines on the forehead which are more prominent when you raise your eyebrows.
Crows feet with Juvederm
Crow’s feet are found in the outer corner of the eyes. They appear more prominent when smiling or laughing. They occur as the skin becomes less elastic with age combined with excessive sun exposure. Small injections at either side of the eyes are usually very effective in treating crow’s feet wrinkles.
Smokers Lines
Smoker’s lines appear around the mouth above the top lip. They can occur in non smokers, but can appear more prominent in smokers. Injections placed around above the top lip can be all that is needed to reduce their appearance.
Marionette lines
Juvederm can be injected into the corners of the mouth alleviating the sad appearance that can occur with ageing.
Bunny Lines
Bunny lines are wrinkles at the top of the nose which can appear when squinting or frowning and can be successfully treated with Juvederm injections.
Juvederm lift
Juvederm can also be used to achieve an eyebrow raise or “Chemical Brow Lift”. Carefully placed injections around the brow can raise the eyebrows by about 3 millimeters. This can open up the eyes and in women give a more youthful appearance.

What to expect at your Juvederm appointment
Juvederm treatment is simple quick and safe, however if you have not had treatment before, understandably you can feel a little nervous the first time. The following is a guide to what to expect when booking an appointment for Juvederm treatment at our Clinic.
When you Arrive
When you arrive at our clinic you will be greeted by our reception staff who will ask you to complete a medical history sheet. This is to ensure that the doctor is made aware of any medical conditions which could rule out Juvederm treatment. Most people who have treatment are fit and well and are able to have the treatment. If you are pregnant or breast feeding the treatment is not recommended.
A history of Stroke or chronic diseases affecting the muscles such as Myasthenia Gravis, Eaton Lambert syndrome and Bell ’s palsy would rule out the treatment, as well as a history of allergy to Juvederm.
Consultation with Doctor
At your initial free consultation, the doctor will discuss your expectations for the treatment and try understand what results you are hoping to achieve. The doctor will make a medical assessment and explain how the treatment would help you and discuss the potential side effects. Generally Juvederm works well for lines and wrinkles in the upper face caused by facial expressions and muscle over activity such as in frown lines, forehead wrinkles and crow’s feet.
Consent and Photography
If you are happy to proceed with the treatment, Juvederm treatment can usually be given during the initial free consultation. You will be asked to sign a consent form to indicate that you have understood the outcome of the treatment. Photographs are usually taken before the treatment as a medical record and after the treatment to allow the doctor to judge how successful the treatment has been. Photographs like all medical records and kept safely and securely by our clinic and are only viewable by our medical staff.
Juvederm Treatment
Before the treatment is given the skin will be cleaned with antiseptic. The treatment itself is very quick and takes about ten minutes. It is relatively painless as the needles used for Juvederm are very small, and most people do not require any pain relief during the procedure. You will be able to resume your normal activities such as work as soon as treatment is finished. You should however remember to avoid alcohol, facial massages and extreme changes in temperature such as steam rooms and sauna’s for 24 hours after the procedure. The whole consultation time is around 30 minutes.
Follow Up Appointment
The effects of Juvederm will start to be visible about 4 to 7 days after the injections and the effects will last for about three months. Before you leave you should book a free follow up appointment with the doctor two weeks after the treatment. This is so the doctor can check that you are happy with the results and that the treatment has worked as you expected. If necessary, free Juvederm top up treatment can also be given at this follow up appointment.
